For all of us who’ve done “VEGAS” you know there are a million things happening all over the strip at the same time and if you don’t have some sort of plan, you’ll find yourself aimlessly wandering through hallways and hallways of never ending hotels and eating McDonald’s or wildly expensive pizza for every meal. Believe me, I’ve done it! And after a cheap food and liquor diet for 4-5 days straight, even those with the most stamina are going to need a detox, laxatives, clean eating only cleanse! HOWEVER, before we get to the food, below are my recommendations to the best parties this holiday weekend!
Memorial Weekend 2017
Thursday Night – Zedd @ Hakkasan
Friday Pool Party – Metro Boomin Day Light Beach Club
Friday Night – Future Live @ Drais
Saturday Pool Party – Kaskade @ Wet Republic Day Party
Saturday Night – French Montana @ Tao Nightclub
Sunday – David Guetta @ Encore Beach Club Day Party
Sunday Night – DJ Khaled @ Marquee
Monday Pool Party – Afrojack @ Wet Republic
Monday Night – Steve Aoki @ Jewel
In Vegas, you basically choose your own scene, the artist or DJ pretty much dictates the vibe. I prefer the pool parties with Hip-Hop and Top 40s, but wherever you end up this weekend will be poppin!
EATTTTTT
After going to Vegas a whopping six times, I’ve ate at my fair share of amazing food there and I’m happy to share some of my favorite places with you all. Take some time out from all the partying and enjoy some delicious food. If you aren’t hungry yet, your tummy will be growling after you check out the menus!
TIP: Be sure to make reservations for all restaurants to avoid the long lines memorial weekend!
Seafood Buffets
Aria Buffet – Crab legs, crab legs and more crab legs. Need I say more? Dinner $48.99 *All day, add $16.99 for unlimited Mimosas, Bellini’s, Bloody Mary’s, Sangria, Champagne, Premium Beer and Wine on TAP.
Green Valley Ranch Buffet – Friday night seafood: crab legs, shrimp and more await to temp your taste buds. Dinner $34.99
The M Resort Buffet – Grand seafood-centric buffet, which includes free alcohol with the price of admission. $24.99
My FAV Brunch Buffets
Sterling Brunch @ Bally’s – It’s only available on Sunday mornings, but the Sterling Brunch is one of the top reasons to visit BLT Steak. There are unlimited pours of Perrier-Jouët Champagne, unlimited servings of American Sturgeon caviar, and yes, unlimited lobster tails. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also lobster ravioli and – as a side order – lobster bisque and lobster eggs Benedict.
Bacchanal Brunch @ Caesars Palace – $49.99
Affordable GREAT Food
Pizza Rock – open late
Pokeman – Japanese
Soho – Japanese
Monta Ramen – Japanese Noodle House
Vege-Way – Vegan burgers and sides
The Matador – Mexican
Hussong’s Cantina – Margaritas & Mexican Food
El Dorado Cantina – Mexican
Lobster Me – for the love of lobster!
Buldogis – Gourmet Hot Dogs
Gelato Messina – Mouthwatering Dessert like apple pie gelato!
Activities/ Sightseeing
Go for a hike at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. It’s the best place to enjoy the natural beauty of Nevada. Take an Uber there and schedule one in advance to come back (cell phone service is non-existent out there). Be sure to go in the morning or late afternoon during the summer to avoid the worst of the desert heat.
If you want an adrenaline rush while taking in the desert view, take a guided ATV tour through the desert!
Take a picture with the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign South of the Strip. It’s the ultimate free thing to do in Vegas!
Zip lines between buildings – Head to the Rio hotel and casino, take the elevator to the very top for the VooDoo ZipLine! The cable runs about 400ft above the ground between the hotel’s two towers, giving you some of the best views in Vegas.
Bungee jump off the top of the Stratosphere! Drop from the 108th floor from the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States.
Hit the slots, win big money (unlike me lol) and drink for free (literally the only reason I spend time in casinos)!
Any weekend in Vegas will be nonstop partying with beautiful people, all just looking to have a great time! Share your epic party photos with us on Instagram @traveldweebs and be sure to stay hydrated! Remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
As I mentioned on your instagram page, going to Vegas, God willing in June. I also lived in Vegas for three years and there’s ALWAYS something going on . Try one of the best buffets ever when you go back, Main Street at the Main Street Hotel and Casino Downtown . In expensive and really good . MGM Grand weekday brunch is wicked good too. Would tell you to enjoy yourself , but you’re in Vegas . YOU DEFINITELY WILL. Great holiday .
